Uninstalling a server

During uninstallation, an installed versiondog server is completely removed from the system. The uninstallation is carried out using the Setup.exe file supplied in the versiondog software package.

Info

When uninstalling the server, only the server applications are uninstalled. The client applications are uninstalled in a separate step.

Prerequisites for the uninstallation

  • The versiondog setup file is accessible.
  • The user performing the uninstallation or the user account through which the uninstallation is performed has administrative rights.
  • Executing files must be permitted on the drive on which the server archive is located. Any existing security policies that prevent the execution of files must be deactivated.

  1. Execute the file Setup.exe on the computer with the server to be uninstalled as as administrator.
  2. In the installation wizard that opens, select a language version. English and German are currently available.

  4. Terminate the displayed processes with Next. If the processes cannot be stopped using the installation wizard, stop them in the Service Control Manager.
