End of Life for versiondog

versiondog is being phased out and replaced by the its continuous successor octoplant.

If you have any questions about the transition, please contact your AMDT sales representative.

  • Server and client must have the same version, otherwise working with versiondog is not possible.
    As soon as you start a client that has an earlier version than the server, the update of the client applications is started automatically. This functionality is referred to as SmartUpdate. Alternatively, the update of the clients can be carried out manually or via a script or an MSI package.

Why does the update to versiondog 7.0.0 take longer?

We have improved Unicode support. For you, this means that the migration when updating to versiondog 7.0.0 will take a little longer, as all databases will be migrated.
