Jobs module

In the Jobs module you can create and configure jobs. It is strongly recommended that you cover all your assets with jobs for automatic backups and comparison.

Is additional software required to run jobs?

With versiondog you can create jobs for a variety of devices for upload and comparison purposes.

Jobs for some devices require additional software to be installed on the server. If the required software cannot be installed on the computer on which the server applications are executed, you can enable the versiondog system to access the software using agents. To do this, the agents must be installed on the computer on which the required software is installed. The computer must be accessible via the network. You also need access rights to the computer, the software and the folders/files.

What is the maximum number of jobs that can be run on a single versiondog server?

The maximum number of jobs that can be run on a single server depends on the upload type of the job (e.g. TIA Portal, Image Service or UNC upload) and the individual customer environment, i.e. network capacity and server performance. You can influence the number individually, for example by the type of devices addressed, the time organization or the interlocking of the jobs in the operating process.

It is possible to run several thousand jobs.
