EasyClient user interface

The EasyClient user interface consists of two main areas:

  • Project tree
  • Workspace

Project tree

The Project tree on the left displays the directory structure that stores project data.

At the top, the address field displays the currently selected path. It lets you move backward and forward, switch between paths, and save paths as favorites. The behavior is similar to a web browser.

Components appear grayed out when they exist only on the server and are not available locally. Components appear in black when they are available locally.

Use the Icon_server_document.png button to control whether server-only components are displayed:

  • Framed: Both server and local items are shown.
  • Grayed out: No server connection exists (e.g., you are logged in locally only).

The Project tree dropdown menu allows you to create or delete directories and components, edit components, or refresh the view.

Workspace

If no component is selected, the workspace remains empty.

When a component is selected, its details and master data appear in the upper area of the workspace.

In the upper right, a dropdown menu lets you mark a component as In progress, lock it for other users, or unlock a component you locked.

At the bottom, the navigation bar guides you through the key workflow steps:

  • Check-Out
  • Edit
  • Check-In

The next logical step is selected automatically, but you can choose a step manually by selecting its button.

The center area displays the actions available for the current workflow step.
