Change component status
To change the component status, use the dropdown in the upper right of the workspace. The component must exist on the server.
Options:
- Editable: All users can edit the component.
- Under development: Indicates that you are working on the component. Other users see the
icon. - Locked: Other users can check out the component but cannot edit or check it in. They see the
icon.
If you have locked and edited a component, you can unlock it to allow other users to work on it.
- Unlock component: Available only if you locked the component. You cannot unlock components locked by other users unless you have administrative rights.
- Unlock and reset component: Available only to administrators. This option lets administrators unlock components locked by other users and reset them to the state they were in before being locked.
Automatically changing status on Check-Out
You can configure components to be automatically marked as Under development or Locked upon check-out.
- Select the
icon to open the Client settings dialog. -
Go to the Check-In/Check-Out tab.

Select either Check-Out always in lock state "Under development" or Check-Out always in lock state "Lock for other users".
- Select Apply and close the dialog.
