Create a new version

After editing a component, create a new version before Check-In.

  1. Select a component in the Project tree.

  2. Select the Create new version button in the Edit view or press F3.

    If the component is new and no version of it exists on the server, a version of it is created directly. If a version of the component already exists on the server, the Create new version dialog opens.

    If required, review differences and add a comment.

  3. Choose one of the following:

    • Create local version: The version is created locally without being copied directly to the server.
    • Create version and Check-In: The new version is created locally and copied directly to the server via a Check-In.
