Checking out components

Prerequisite

• Components can only be checked out if there is a connection to the server, i.e. the button above the Project tree is selected.

Procedure

Before Check-Out, you can choose between three different views in the Project tree.

1. Select the component in the Project tree.
2. Navigate to the Start tab in the menu bar or right-click the component and select Check-Out.
3. In the Check-out dialog, check if the desired components are selected, and select Check-Out and close.

When the Check-out is finished:

• A pop-up opens in the notification area with the result of the Check-Out.

  The display of the pop-up can be activated or deactivated in the Client settings dialog.

• The component type symbol will be displayed in color in the Project tree.
