Save data without versioning¶

The Quicksave function allows you to save your unfinished work on the server. A Quicksave is like a temporary version that can only be retrieved by the user who created it. It is stored on the server, so it is a good temporary backup. The "Quick" part of the Quicksave refers to the few clicks needed to create it.

Why not version directly then?¶

Many versiondog users (including here at AMDT) do not understand the difference between versioning and creating a Quicksave. The Quicksave feature can help you save a lot of disk space by creating temporary backups of half-finished work and provide clarity.
