Acronis Backup¶

versiondog supports the automated creation and upload of images (= backup copies) with Acronis Backup. An image can be used to quickly restore important data in the event of a problem.

• A license of Acronis Backup is required to create the images. The image creation is done via Acronis agents, which must be installed on the computer whose image is to be created.
• The command line tool acrocmd.exe from Acronis must be installed on the server, with which the Managed Machine Service (MMS) on the Acronis Backup server can be controlled to trigger the image creation. By default, acrocmd.exe uses ports 9850 and 9851.
• VDogUploadAcronis.exe must be added manually to the installation folder of the server or agent (depending on where the upload is being executed from). Please download this file from the myAMDT portal.
