Configuring comparisons

You can configure the comparison for AVEVA InTouch for all or for specific components. The prerequisite for this is that the corresponding component contains a valid project.

  1. Start the UserClient.
  2. Select the desired component and right-click on it. The context menu opens. Click on Edit component configuration or press Alt+Return.

  3. In the Component configuration dialog, click on Comparator configuration. The Comparison configuration dialog opens.

  4. In the Project dropdown menu, select the project for which the comparison is to be configured. If you select the Default entry, the configuration applies to all components for which there is no separate configuration.

  5. Use the Exclude initial values from "Tagname Dictionary" if retentive checkbox to specify whether the initial values of the tagname dictionary are to be compared.
  6. Use the Exclude access management checkbox to specify whether the access management should be ignored during the comparison.
  7. Confirm your entries with OK and click on the Apply button in the Component configuration dialog to save the configuration.
