BECKHOFF TwinCAT V3

TwinCAT is a software suite from BECKHOFF Automation GmbH & Co. Kg. With the BECKHOFF TwinCAT software system, almost any compatible PC can be used as a PLC and CNC controller as well as an operating device.

versiondog supports both BECKHOFF TwinCAT V2 and V3. The instructions in this tutorial only refer to BECKHOFF TwinCAT V3, V2 is covered in a separate tutorial.

We support the following TwinCAT 3 modules: System, Motion (NC, CNC), PLC, Safety (TwinSAFE), C++, I/O.

Encrypted TwinCAT projects cannot be integrated.

Other requirements

  • To integrate projects, the editor must be installed on the same computer on which the server or an agent is running.
  • BECKHOFF TwinCAT V2 and V3 projects may not be integrated simultaneously in one TwinCAT component.
