RSLogix 5000¶
versiondog supports programmable logic controllers that work with the RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, RsLinx Classic and FactoryTalk Linx software from Rockwell Automation and enables cyclical monitoring of devices configured with this development environment.

- When using firmware revision 32, it may not be possible to create a backup. Error messages may occur during job execution. This is a known behavior. If you experience this, we recommend using a different revision of the firmware and running the job again.
Other system requirements¶
- The RSLogix 5000 software (Version 10.x or higher - STANDARD or PROFESSIONAL EDITION) or Studio 5000 Logix Designer (from and including Version 21) must be running on the computer on which the versiondog server is installed. If the software is running on a different computer, you will need an agent.
- Either RSLinx Classic (Version 3.51 or higher) or FactoryTalk Linx (formerly known as RSLinx Enterprise Edition) must be running on the computer on which the versiondog server is installed. If the software is installed on a different computer, you will need an agent.
- If the software is running on a FactoryTalk Linx (Version 3.51 or higher) or FactoryTalk Linx (formerly known as RSLinx Enterprise Edition) must be running on the computer on which the Server is installed for a FactoryTalk Linx upgrade, the RSLinx Classic software must be uninstalled and the communication path (in the job configuration) must be entered manually.
- If you are using agents for a FactoryTalk Linx upgrade, the agent services must be run with administrative rights.
