Configuring comparisons

To change the compare settings for Control Expert projects, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the UserClient.
  2. Select the component you want to customize.
  3. Select the Edit tab in the menu bar or in the context menu (right mouse button) Edit component configuration.

  4. Click on the Compare configuration button. The Comparison configuration dialog opens.

  5. If there are several projects in a component, select the corresponding project from the dropdown menu.

  6. Enter the Application password for this project.

    The Application password is optional. If it is used, a corresponding configuration must also be done in both the Schneider EcoStruxure Control Export Security editor and in the configuration of the component for both upload and comparison to be successful.

    To configure this additional security, proceed as follows:

    1. In the Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert editor, go to the Policies tab and enable the Security options with login.

    2. Once this is done, a Username must be created, or selected in the Users and User Information tabs, given a password, and given necessary rights to Schneider EcoStruxure Control Expert product functions (found under Profile(s) in the Users tab). This will allow an upload to be performed by that user.

    3. In the versiondog AdminClient, specify the same Username and Password by going to the Schneider Security Editor section in the Global settings module.

  7. Confirm the selected settings by clicking on the OK button.
