Configuring access path
The following summarizes the available access paths and the available settings for the individual access paths. In the Access path details section, select the access path that covers your use case.
Access via the INAT H1-ISO protocol
- Select the access path (0201) PC->[H1]->PLC.
- Select the Backplane bus option if your S5 modules communicate via the backplane bus and not via the PLC- cable S5-CP/AG.
- Enter the H1 address of the PLC.
- Enter the CP Password.
Access via the INAT H1-ISO protocol and then a KOR-MUX/Tele-Switch interface switch
- Select the access path (0202) PC->[H1]->KOR/MUX->PLC.
- Enter the H1 address of the interface switch.
- Enter the CP Password.
- Enter the interface number for KOR/MUX.
Access via the INAT H1 ISO protocol and then an Echolink serial Ethernet converter
- Select the access path (0203) PC->[H1]->Echolink->PLC.
- Enter the H1 address of the Echolink device.
- Enter the Echolink port to which the PLC is connected.

Access via TCP/IP
- Select the access path (0241) PC->[TCP/IP]->PLC.

- Enter the host name/IP address of the PLC under Device.
Access via TCP/IP and then a KOR-MUX/Tele-Switch interface switch
- Select the access path (0242) PC->[TCP/IP]->KOR/MUX->PLC.
- Enter the host name/IP address of the interface switch under Device.
- Enter the interface number for KOR/MUX.
Access via TCP/IP and then an Echolink serial to Ethernet converter
- Select the access path (0243) PC->[TCP/IP]->Echolink->PLC.
- Under Device, enter the host name/IP address of the Echolink device.
- Enter the Echolink port to which the PLC is connected.

- Enter the host name/IP address of the Echochange gateway under Device.

Access via TCP/IP and an S5-Lan++ Module
- Select the access path (0291) PC->[TCP/IP]->S5-LAN++->PLC.
- Enter the host name/IP address of the S5-Lan++ module under Device.
Please note:

The INAT H1 driver is required for connections via the H1 protocol. This is supplied with versiondog and can be used up to and including Windows Server 2008. If the versiondog server is to be installed on a computer on which the driver is not functional, either
- another H1 driver must be installed which is functional on the server operating system, or
- the Upload via Agent must be carried out via a computer on which the driver is installed.

the INAT H1 driver must be installed on the server operating system When using the H1 protocol, it is recommended to deactivate the QoS packet scheduler on the corresponding network card.

When using the H1 protocol, the H1 protocols of other manufacturers must be deactivated on the corresponding network card.

Please note that the TSAPs must have a length of at least 2 bytes and may be a maximum of 16 bytes long.
- To be able to establish a connection, the TSAP of one system must match the TSAP of the other system.

A valid installation of the program PLC-VCOM.EXE from Process-Informatik in Version 2.79 or higher is required.

The program must not be in any autostart processes (autostart, task scheduler, etc.).
