Configuring jobs for SINUMERIK 840D powerline

Info

The compensation data can be contained in the {Project name}.ARC on a job-specific basis. The compensation data resides in the files AX_QEC.INI, AX_EEC.INI and NC_CEC.INI.

Procedure

  1. Create a job with the Sinumerik840D upload type.

  2. Go to the SINUMERIK 840D settings section.

  3. From the Project dropdown menu, select the NC.ARC archive that the job is to back up.

  4. From the Device type dropdown menu, select the Powerline value.

  5. From the Access path dropdown menu, select the connection path through which versiondog communicates with the SINUMERIK controller.

    The Access path details section changes according to the selected access path.

  6. Go to the Backup section.

  7. Select the Create SIBN file for PLC checkbox to save PLC data in the SIBN archive.

  8. Select the With compensation data checkbox, if you also want to back it up.

    We recommend that you always save the compensation data together with the NC data. If there is collision model data on the memory card of the controller, this should also be backed up together with the NC data.

  9. In the Contents of the backup dropdown menu, you have three options to choose from for backing up the online and offline data.

    1. Online data only: Only data from the controller is backed up.

      Info

      No backup is created if the SINUMERIK controller accesses files.

    2. Merge online and offline data: If the controller accesses certain files, the system copies that data from the version (offline data) into the backup. As a result, the backup does not consist entirely of data retrieved from the controller.

    3. Merge if conditions are not met: If the Create backup only if the following conditions are met checkbox is selected and the specified conditions are not fulfilled, the system copies the data from the version (offline data) into the backup.

  10. The Create backup only if the following conditions are met checkbox is activated in advance and fulfills two conditions.

    • Condition 1: All channels in 'Reset': If not all channels on the controller are in reset, the job issues the error message that not all channels are in reset.
    • Condition 2: Tool in spindle: Here you have the choice between the No tool in spindle, Tool in spindle allowed if alarm is suppressed and Ignore tool in spindle options.

    Warning

    If the following three options are selected simultaneously, there is a risk of an emergency stop or machine damage:

    • The Online data only option is selected in the Contents of the backup dropdown menu.
    • The Create backup only if the following conditions are met checkbox is selected.
    • The Tool in spindle allowed if alarm is suppressed option is selected, but alarm 22070 is not suppressed.

    The full alarm message is:

    Sinumeric alarm 22070 TO unit %1 Please change tool T= %2 into magazine. Repeat data backup.

    A backup for disaster recovery is only possible when the following settings are configured:

    • The Online data only option is selected from the Contents of the backup dropdown menu.
    • The Create backup only if the following conditions are met checkbox is selected.
    • The Condition 1: All channels in 'Reset' checkbox is selected, and all channels are actually in reset.
    • For Condition 2: Tool in spindle, the No tool in spindle option is selected, and no tool is present in the spindle.

  11. Go to the Advanced section.

  12. Select SIMATIC NET, if SIMATIC NET is installed during a network transition and is to be used.
