Extracting device information

The asset analysis enables you to efficiently manage your device inventory, improve safety monitoring and optimize asset management processes in the octoplant pro hub.

The asset analysis feature is embedded within the job execution workflow. It is triggered during the upload process and is executed once for each version.

How it works

  • Extraction of asset information
  • Extraction of relevant asset data
  • API integration for greater efficiency (if supported)

Export to the octoplant pro hub

The asset information extracted from the project files is seamlessly integrated into the octoplant pro hub and displayed in the Asset Inventory report. This allows you to efficiently monitor and analyze your industrial assets.

Key benefits

Asset information is essential for various operational and security use cases. By extracting detailed asset data, you can identify common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs), which can give your organization a competitive advantage in assessing and mitigating cybersecurity risks.

  • Comprehensive device insights: Displays detailed information about connected assets, including:
    • Vendors: The number of assets associated with each vendor.
    • Models: A breakdown of the different device models in the system.
    • Firmware versions: The number of different firmware versions in use.
    • Servers: The number of different assets per server.
  • Enhanced security monitoring: Helps identify potential security vulnerabilities based on extracted asset data.
