Configuring jobs for ABB IRC5 and Omnicore

  1. Create a job with the ABB Robotics upload type.
  2. Go to the ABB Robotics settings section.

  3. Select a Connection type.

    • ABB Robotics PC SDK: A new backup is created and stored on the server each time the job is executed.
    • FTP: The most recent backup from the robot is stored on the server.
  4. In the Device field, enter the IP address or the name of the device.

  5. In the User and Password fields, enter the credentials for the user account used to access the device.

  6. If you have selected the ABB Robotics PC SDK connection type:

    1. Select the Retain Backup checkbox to specify whether you want to keep backups on the robot.
    2. In the Path field, enter the subdirectory in which the robot stores the backups.

      You can specify the subdirectory directly on the robot. To do that, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

    3. In the Count field, enter how many backups you want to keep. You can specify a value from 1 to 5.

  7. If you have selected the FTP connection type:

    1. Enter the port used by versiondog to access the robot.
    2. Select Use FTP passive mode, if required.
    3. In the Subdirectory field, enter the subdirectory path where the robot stores the backups.

      You can specify the subdirectory directly on the robot. To do that, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

  8. Go to the Advanced section.

  9. Enter the Sleep between packets and the Maximum size of data packets (in KB).
  10. To define the upload limits, select the Upload only when timestamp is different (reduces network load) checkbox.
