Emerson PAC Machine Edition (formerly GE Proficy Machine Edition)

versiondog supports the management of Emerson PAC Machine Edition projects and enables cyclical monitoring of devices configured with this development environment.

Emerson PAC Machine Edition used to be called GE Proficy Machine Edition.

The Proficy Machine Edition component type and the GE Proficy Machine Edition upload type are also used with Emerson PAC Machine Edition.

  • PC targets and panel targets are not supported.

Requirements

  • To carry out uploads, a compatible version of the editor must be installed on the same computer on which the server or an agent is running. The use of agents is recommended for the upload of Emerson PAC Machine Edition. If you are using multiple versions of Emerson PAC Machine Edition or GE Proficy Machine Edition, you need a separate Upload agent for each version.
  • The server or agent must be running on the local system account with the Allow data exchange between service and desktop (user activity) option enabled.

Restrictions

  • Changes to diagnostic logic blocks, FAT/SAT, supplemental files of a PLC target are not recognized.
  • Current values of variables are excluded during backup/version and backup/backup comparison.
