Requirements
-
To perform uploads and comparisons using Siemens TIA Portal, ensure that a compatible version of both the editor and TIA Portal (including Openness) is installed on the same machine where either the server or an agent is running.
When using the Software Upload variant via TIA Openness, either the agent or the VDog MasterService (depending on which is in use) must be launched as an application, with the following conditions:
- Must not run under the LocalSystem account.
- A user must be logged in.
- The screen must remain unlocked.
For detailed instructions, see Starting agents and VDog MasterService as applications.
Restrictions
- The upload is limited to the PLC part of the TIA Portal project.
- The comparison is limited to the PLC, the HMI part of the TIA Portal project, and WinCC Unified.
