Setting up and changing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in myAMDT
At a glance
- You can secure your account using either Authenticator App (TOTP) or Email verification. Disabling MFA is possible but not recommended.
- You can change MFA settings at any time via Account → Multi-Factor-Authentication.
- If you lose access to your MFA method (e.g., phone, app, or email), contact AMDT Support and provide proof of account ownership.
Initial MFA setup (Immediately after registration)
On your first login, you will be prompted to select an MFA method. You may also choose to disable MFA at this stage (not recommended).
Choose one of the following options:
-
Option A: Authenticator App (recommended)
- Select Set up with App.
- On your mobile device, open a TOTP-compatible authenticator (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, Aegis).
- Scan the QR code or manually enter the setup key.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by your app to verify and complete setup.
-
Option B: Email Verification
- Select Set up with Email.
- A one-time code will be sent to your registered email address.
- Enter the code to verify and complete setup.
Info
We recommend using the Authenticator App — it offers the strongest protection, works offline, and follows industry standards.
Changing MFA settings later
You can switch your MFA method or disable it at any time.

Click your user avatar in the top-right corner and select Account.
-
Select the Multi-Factor-Authentication tile.

Info
The page layout may differ slightly depending on your current MFA method, but the steps remain the same:
